Lewis Hamilton has responded to recent comments from Red Bull’s Helmut Marko, who questioned his qualifying pace and suggested that Max Verstappen would remain dominant even if Red Bull had a weaker car.
When asked about Marko’s remarks, Hamilton remained composed, dismissing the criticism as nothing new. “I’ve been in this sport long enough to know that people will always have opinions, but I don’t let that affect me,” Hamilton said. “I’m focused on the future, on this exciting challenge with Ferrari, and on giving my best every time I step in the car.”
Hamilton also addressed the claims about his qualifying performance, subtly pushing back against the idea that he has lost speed. “Every season is different, and there are always factors people don’t see from the outside,” he explained. “I know what I’m capable of, and I’m looking forward to proving that on track.”
Regarding Verstappen, Hamilton acknowledged the Dutch driver’s talent but made it clear that he isn’t concerned with Red Bull’s confidence. “Max has done a great job with Red Bull, but Formula 1 is always evolving. I’m not here to dwell on what others say—I’m here to race, to win, and to bring Ferrari back to the top.”
Hamilton’s response reflects his usual calm and focused mindset, making it clear that he’s not engaging in verbal battles—he’s letting his driving do the talking.
