Nicko McBrain, the legendary drummer of Iron Maiden, has recently shared an update on his health, following his recovery from a stroke in early 2023. In a heartfelt message to fans, McBrain revealed that while he has made significant progress, his journey has been challenging.
“I’m feeling much better now, but it’s been a tough road,” McBrain said. “Rehab has been intense, but the support from my family, bandmates, and fans has kept me going.”
Despite stepping back from full-scale touring, McBrain has hinted at continuing involvement with Iron Maiden in other capacities. “I may not be behind the kit for every show, but I’ll always be part of the Maiden family. There’s more to come,” he added.
Iron Maiden is gearing up for their “Run For Your Lives” World Tour in 2025, with Simon Dawson stepping in on drums. Fans worldwide continue to send their best wishes to McBrain, whose iconic drumming has defined the band’s sound for over four decades.
