💥 Netflix Unveils Explosive System of a Down Docuseries — Premiering on Toxicity Tour Anniversary

Netflix has confirmed the release of a brand-new docuseries titled “Toxicity & Truth,” centered on the legendary Armenian-American band System of a Down. The series is set to premiere globally on October 11, 2025—marking the anniversary of the band’s iconic Toxicity Tour kickoff.

Spanning over two decades of music, activism, and internal tension, Toxicity & Truth promises a raw and unfiltered look into the meteoric rise, creative clashes, and eventual silence of one of metal’s most outspoken and enigmatic bands. The five-part series will feature never-before-seen backstage footage, archival interviews, and brand-new sit-downs with all four band members—Serj Tankian, Daron Malakian, Shavo Odadjian, and John Dolmayan.

For the first time, fans will witness the contrasting views within the band—ranging from political activism to creative control—and gain insight into what caused the long-standing rift that halted new music for nearly two decades.

Executive producer Ava DuVernay called the project “a fearless look at art, dissent, and brotherhood tested by fire,” adding that it was “one of the most emotionally honest stories I’ve ever helped tell.”

The docuseries will also include commentary from fellow artists such as Tom Morello, Corey Taylor, and Maynard James Keenan, who provide context on System of a Down’s influence on the early 2000s music scene and beyond.

With fans already flooding social media with excitement, Toxicity & Truth is being hailed as one of the most anticipated music documentaries of the decade.
