Heavy metal icon Lizzy Borden turns 65 as legacy roars on

Los Angeles, June 23, 2025 — The iconic frontman of the shock‑metal band Lizzy Borden, Gregory Charles Harges — better known by his stage name Lizzy Borden — celebrated his 65th birthday yesterday, marking over four decades at the forefront of heavy metal. Born on June 23, 1960, Borden has been a driving force in the genre since forming the band in 1983 with his brother Joey Scott Harges   .

From their early days on Metal Blade Records, Lizzy Borden surged into the spotlight with the provocative 1985 debut Love You to Pieces, followed by the charting albums Menace to Society and the theatrical masterpiece Master of Disguise, which peaked at #133 on the Billboard 200  .
