JUST IN: NBA Trade Proposal Swaps Giannis Antetokounmpo With $104 Million Star

The Milwaukee Bucks are expected to be one of the most closely watched teams this NBA offseason, especially after Damian Lillard suffered an Achilles injury during the first round of the playoffs. With the team’s title hopes looking bleak, attention has turned to star forward Giannis Antetokounmp and whether he’ll remain in Milwaukee. Though he hasn’t formally requested a trade, speculation has grown, with teams like the San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets mentioned as possible destinations.

However, a new report suggests the Memphis Grizzlies could emerge as a dark horse in the race for Antetokounmpo. The Grizzlies would likely aim to keep Ja Morant in any deal, preferring to pair him with Giannis and use Morant as the primary playmaker.

A hypothetical trade might look like this:

Grizzlies receive: Giannis Antetokounmpo, AJ Green

Bucks receive: Jaren Jackson Jr., Brandon Clarke, Zach Edey, GG Jackson, a 2027 first-round pick (via Memphis), and the rights to swap first-round picks in 2031

For Memphis, the move would be a significant upgrade—swapping Jackson Jr. for Antetokounmpo brings improved scoring and rebounding, areas where Jackson Jr. had been inconsistent. AJ Green could also serve as a cost-effective replacement for Luke Kennard.

Milwaukee, in turn, would land a proven All-Star in Jackson Jr., though he’s due for a new contract soon. They’d also acquire promising young talent in Edey and GG Jackson, with the latter seen as a high-upside scorer. While the draft picks may not be overly valuable, the quality of players coming in would help offset that.
