Breaking: Grizzlies’ star GG Jackson responds to team’s $228 million trade possibility, admits it would be ‘Crazy’ move
Following their first-round playoff sweep, the Memphis Grizzlies are expected to make major changes this offseason. They could either move on from stars like Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. and start fresh, or use their young talent to acquire a veteran star to strengthen their core.
Meanwhile, over in the East, the Milwaukee Bucks are also facing uncertainty after being eliminated in the first round for the third straight year. Much of the offseason buzz is focused on whether Giannis Antetokounmpo might be traded.
Naturally, every team—including the Grizzlies—will consider ways to land the MVP-caliber forward. If he joins a team like Memphis, Giannis would instantly become their top player, and the team would likely be reshaped around him due to his elite skills and winning pedigree.
However, pulling off such a trade is incredibly difficult, as outbidding other teams for Giannis would require a massive offer. While Memphis could potentially construct a deal, they remain an unlikely destination.
Not everyone on the Grizzlies is completely sold on the idea, though. When asked about the possibility, GG Jackson said, “That’d be wild. He’s the kind of guy who can elevate any team and fit into any system. I’m just not sure how seriously we’re looking at that.”
