Training camp kicks off this weekend in the WNBA as teams begin preparations for the 2025 season following last week’s draft and player movement.
Legendary South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley, fresh off leading her Gamecocks to the NCAA title game, continues to support her former players as they transition to the pros. On Friday, she celebrated Bree Hall, one of three South Carolina players drafted, with a spirited message: “Let’s gooooooo @breezyhalll!! Always ready! Always steady! Listen to your vets. It’s a safe bets. Ya dig!”
Hall, known as “Breezy,” was picked 20th overall in the second round of the 2025 WNBA Draft. She joins the Indiana Fever, where she’ll team up with standout Caitlin Clark, who is entering her second WNBA season after a stellar collegiate career at Iowa.
At South Carolina, Hall was a key contributor, playing in 147 games and helping the Gamecocks win two NCAA titles. In her senior season, she averaged 6.3 points and 3.0 rebounds over 39 games. Although she scored just two points in the national championship game, she made a significant impact in the Final Four, tallying 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting in the win over Texas.
With training camp starting and a new chapter ahead, Hall enters the WNBA ready to grow, compete, and learn alongside seasoned pros.
