In a major development for college basketball, highly-touted 5-star prospect Pat Suemnick has committed to the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team, turning down offers from Tennessee, LSU, and Georgia.

Suemnick, a 6-foot-7 forward, has had a diverse collegiate journey. He started at Robert Morris University before transferring to Triton College in Illinois. During his time at Triton, Suemnick was a standout performer, earning first-team NJCAA All-American honors. He led the team to a 30-6 record and a run to the national semifinals, averaging 12 points and six rebounds per game while shooting efficiently from both the field and beyond the arc.

His impressive performances earned him multiple accolades, including Region 4 Player of the Year and MVP honors at the 2022 NJCAA All-Star game. Suemnick then moved to West Virginia University, where he played the 2023-24 season, appearing in every game and making six starts. He particularly excelled against top-25 teams, delivering strong performances in upsets over Kansas and Texas.

In June 2024, Suemnick transferred to Oklahoma State for what was expected to be his final college season. Head coach Steve Lutz praised his size, experience, and versatility, calling him a valuable asset to any roster.

Now, Suemnick has opted to join the Kentucky Wildcats, bringing with him experience, skill, and a competitive edge that could make a major impact on the program. His decision marks a key addition to Kentucky’s roster as they gear up for a promising season.
