Rediscovered Ozzy Osbourne Interview Reveals Chilling Premonition About Randy Rhoads… Read more 👇👇

“When I first crossed paths with Randy Rhoads, I had this strange feeling,” Ozzy Osbourne says in a recently rediscovered interview. “Something told me, ‘This guy isn’t going to grow old.’ There was just something about him that felt different.”

Osbourne shared these thoughts about the late guitar prodigy in a video interview filmed at his home, likely in the early 1990s. Rhoads played a crucial role in launching Ozzy’s solo career after the singer was dismissed from Black Sabbath in 1979.

Beyond delivering the explosive guitar sound Ozzy needed, Rhoads also co-wrote several of the songs that defined Osbourne’s early solo success. Tracks like “Crazy Train” and “Mr. Crowley,” both from Ozzy’s 1980 debut album Blizzard of Ozz, bore Rhoads’ unmistakable creative stamp.

As Ozzy explains in the resurfaced footage, Rhoads approached his instrument with intense discipline. He practiced relentlessly sometimes to Ozzy’s annoyance because he took his craft extremely seriously.

At the same time, Rhoads was already thinking beyond the rock-and-roll lifestyle. He had ambitions of stepping away from touring to return to school and formally study classical music. Those plans were cut short. While on the Blizzard of Ozz tour, Rhoads was killed in a tragic accident after a small plane, flown by the band’s tour bus driver for fun, crashed.

Osbourne, who passed away in July 2025, also reflected on his final conversation with Rhoads, during which the guitarist spoke about his hopes for the future.

“I remember the last trip I ever made with Randy Rhoads the one that ended so tragically, from Knoxville, Tennessee, to Orlando, Florida,” Ozzy recalled. “We had to pull into a bus depot to pick up some parts, maybe a jack or something like that.”
