Jon Bon Jovi has spoken candidly about the lowest point of his career, revealing that a serious vocal cord injury nearly forced him to step away from music for good. The rock icon, now 62, described the experience as one of the most difficult challenges of his life  one that tested both his confidence and his identity as a performer.

During a recent interview, the Bon Jovi frontman recalled how his voice began to deteriorate during live shows several years ago. “It was heartbreaking,” he said. “When the very thing that defines you  your voice  starts to fail, you question everything. I truly thought my time might be over.”

The injury affected his vocal range and power, making it nearly impossible to perform to his usual standards. After consulting multiple specialists, Bon Jovi underwent major vocal cord surgery, followed by months of intensive rehabilitation.
