Heavy metal fans are set for a powerful night of music and meaning as Blaze Bayley, the former frontman of Iron Maiden, has been confirmed to front the upcoming Angel of Rage charity concert. The event, which will raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK, promises to deliver both electrifying performances and a heartfelt message of support for those affected by the disease.

Bayley, known for his commanding vocals and energetic stage presence, says the opportunity to headline this benefit is about far more than music. “Pancreatic cancer takes so many lives far too quickly. If my performance can bring people together to raise awareness and fund research, then it’s the most important gig I could do,” he said.

The Angel of Rage show is expected to feature a dynamic line-up of rock and metal acts from across the UK, each bringing their own sound and energy to the stage. Organisers are keeping several guest appearances and collaborations under wraps to build anticipation, but fans can expect a unique blend of original tracks, rare performances, and special covers made just for the event.

Mark Ellison, founder of Angel of Rage, explained why Bayley was the ideal choice to lead the concert. “Blaze is more than a great singer he’s a storyteller, a showman, and someone who genuinely connects with people. We needed a headliner who could deliver unforgettable music while standing for something bigger, and Blaze fits that perfectly.”

Pancreatic cancer remains one of the deadliest forms of cancer, with survival rates among the lowest of any major type. Its symptoms are often subtle, meaning it’s usually diagnosed late, when treatment options are limited. Pancreatic Cancer UK is working to change this reality by funding research, improving early diagnosis, and supporting patients and their families. All proceeds from the concert, including ticket sales, merchandise, and on-the-night fundraising, will go directly to the charity’s efforts.

The benefit won’t just be about the music it will be a full community experience. In addition to live performances, fans will have the chance to participate in charity auctions featuring exclusive items such as signed instruments, rare vinyl records, and personalised messages from the performers. Volunteers from Pancreatic Cancer UK will be present to share stories, answer questions, and connect with attendees who want to learn more about the fight against the disease.

For Bayley, agreeing to take part in the concert was an easy decision, even with a busy schedule of touring and recording. “Some shows you do for your career, some for your fans but this one is for something much bigger. It’s for people who need us to raise our voices, not just in song, but in solidarity,” he said.

The concert’s name, Angel of Rage, perfectly captures its spirit. Ellison explains: “The ‘angel’ represents the compassion and hope we’re bringing, while the ‘rage’ is our shared determination to see change. We’re channelling frustration into action, and music is our rallying cry.”

Tickets for Angel of Rage are already in high demand, with early sales indicating a strong turnout. Organisers are encouraging fans to secure their spots quickly not just for a night of outstanding live music, but to stand united in the fight against pancreatic cancer.

When the night comes, the venue will be filled with more than just sound. It will be filled with purpose. With Blaze Bayley at the forefront, Angel of Rage aims to prove that the metal community’s passion and unity can make a tangible difference in the battle against this devastating disease.
