Blaze Bayley to Headline Angel of Rage Benefit for Pancreatic Cancer UK

For fans of heavy metal, few voices carry the raw passion and grit of Blaze Bayley. But when Bayley takes the stage at the Angel of Rage benefit later this year, it won’t just be about headbanging riffs and soaring vocals it’ll be about hope, remembrance, and fighting one of the deadliest forms of cancer.

The former Iron Maiden frontman has been announced as the headline act for this special one-night event, organised to raise money and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer UK. It’s a cause that hits home for countless families and one Bayley says he’s proud to stand behind.

“Pancreatic cancer is one of those diseases that doesn’t give you much warning,” Bayley said. “Too often, people only find out when it’s already too late. If our music can shine even the smallest light on this fight, then we’re doing something truly worthwhile.”

The benefit aptly named Angel of Rage is set to bring together a powerhouse line-up of rock and metal acts from across the UK. While Bayley’s set will be the evening’s crown jewel, organisers promise plenty of surprises, including guest appearances, rare collaborations, and a few twists fans will only see on that night.

Mark Ellison, founder of Angel of Rage, said getting Bayley on board was a dream come true. “Blaze is the kind of performer who gives everything to the crowd, every single time. But more than that, he cares. This isn’t just another gig for him it’s personal. And that kind of energy is exactly what this event is about.”

The cause is urgent. Pancreatic cancer has one of the lowest survival rates of any major cancer, largely due to late diagnosis and limited treatment options. Pancreatic Cancer UK works to change that by funding research, pushing for earlier detection, and offering vital support to patients and families navigating the toughest moments of their lives. Every ticket sold, every T-shirt bought, and every pound raised on the night will go directly to that mission.

In true rock-and-roll spirit, the benefit won’t be just about music it’ll be about community. Alongside the performances, fans can take part in charity auctions featuring signed memorabilia, rare records, and even personalised shout-outs from some of the night’s artists. Volunteers from Pancreatic Cancer UK will also be there, sharing stories and information to help people better understand the disease and its impact.

For Bayley, the night will be more than just a show it’s a reminder of why music matters. “Music is about connection,” he said. “When you’re in a room full of people all singing the same words, all feeling the same thing, that’s powerful. And when you use that power for something that can save lives, it’s even better.”

Despite a busy year of touring and recording new material, Bayley didn’t hesitate to make space for this benefit. “Sometimes you just know when you need to say yes,” he explained. “This was one of those moments.”

Tickets are already generating buzz, with early-bird sales moving fast. Organisers are urging fans to grab theirs quickly not just for a night of blistering live music, but to stand shoulder-to-shoulder in the fight against a disease that affects thousands every year.

When the lights go down and the first chords ring out, Angel of Rage won’t just be another gig it’ll be a rallying cry. With Blaze Bayley at the helm, the night promises to be loud, emotional, and unforgettable. And for everyone in the room, it will be a reminder that when the rock community comes together, the impact can reach far beyond the music.
