Veteran NASCAR driver Denny Hamlin has officially signed a multi-year contract extension with Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR), solidifying his future with the team he’s called home for nearly two decades. The announcement comes ahead of the highly anticipated Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where Hamlin will look to continue his impressive 2025 campaign.
Hamlin, 44, has spent his entire NASCAR Cup Series career with JGR, debuting in 2005 and becoming one of the sport’s most consistent and successful drivers. He currently holds 58 Cup Series wins—11th on the all-time list—and has become the winningest driver in JGR history. His resume includes three Daytona 500 victories and a Coca-Cola 600 win, along with numerous Playoff appearances.
“This is where I belong,” said Hamlin in a statement. “Joe Gibbs Racing has been my family for 20 years, and I’m excited to keep building on what we’ve created. With the way our team is performing this year, I feel like we still have a lot more to accomplish.”
Team owner Joe Gibbs echoed that sentiment: “Denny has been a cornerstone of our organization. His talent, leadership, and passion for racing continue to set the standard.”
So far in 2025, Hamlin has secured four wins—Martinsville, Darlington, Michigan, and Dover—and sits fourth in the regular season standings. With this new contract, both Hamlin and JGR are showing they’re not finished chasing championships.
The deal ensures stability for both the No. 11 team and NASCAR’s broader competitive landscape.
