Inspiring Moment at the Big A: 6-Year-Old Cancer Warrior Logan Honored as Bat Kid
Anaheim, CA – A heartwarming scene unfolded at Angel Stadium during the MemorialCare Cancer Institute Night, as 6-year-old Logan stole the spotlight as the Honorary Bat Kid for the Los Angeles Angels before Tuesday night’s game.
Logan, a young and determined fighter, was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in February 2024. Since then, he has been undergoing treatment at Miller Children’s Hospital, where he has inspired doctors, nurses, and fellow patients alike with his courage and resilience. Despite the challenges of chemotherapy and hospital visits, Logan’s love for baseball never wavered—and on this special night, his dream came true.
Before the game, Logan joined players on the field, donned in a custom Angels jersey, beaming with pride as he took part in pre-game activities. He got to visit the dugout, help hand out bats, and even shared high-fives with his favorite players. The moment was met with cheers from fans and emotional support from families affected by cancer, who saw in Logan a symbol of hope and determination.
