Renowned drummer Mike Portnoy, widely known for his roles in Dream Theater, The Winery Dogs, and several other bands, recently offered a touching message following the retirement of Iron Maiden’s iconic drummer, Nicko McBrain. McBrain’s decision to leave the stage due to health issues has deeply moved fans and musicians alike, including Portnoy, who sees him as a major source of inspiration.

 

Nicko McBrain joined Iron Maiden in 1982 and quickly became a key part of their signature sound.
