BREAKING: Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi No…read more

Legendary Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi, now 77, has opened up about his concerns ahead of what could be the band’s final performance. The heavy metal pioneer admitted that the idea of stepping back onto the stage for one last show is both exciting and deeply nerve-wracking, given the weight of expectation and the toll of age.

Iommi, who has long been the musical backbone of Black Sabbath, revealed that while the band’s legacy is secure, the emotional and physical pressure of a farewell concert brings its own set of anxieties. “At this point in life, it’s not as easy as it once was. There’s a lot of emotion tied to this final performance, and we want to get it right,” he shared in a recent interview.

Although the final show is still in the planning stages, Iommi noted that health concerns — particularly those of frontman Ozzy Osbourne — add another layer of uncertainty. Ozzy, who has faced a series of health setbacks in recent years, has expressed both hope and hesitation about returning to the stage one last time.

“There’s a lot we have to consider,” Iommi added. “We want to give the fans something special, something worthy of Black Sabbath, but we also have to be realistic about where we are physically and emotionally.”

Fans across the globe are eagerly awaiting official confirmation and details about the band’s final bow. For now, Iommi remains hopeful but cautious, recognizing the legacy they’ve built and the challenge of delivering a fitting farewell. Whether or not the final show happens as envisioned, one thing is certain: Black Sabbath’s impact on music is eternal.
