Kerr Kriisa Announces Transfer from Kentucky for Final Year After…read more.

Veteran point guard Kerr Kriisa has announced his decision to transfer from the University of Kentucky, seeking a fresh start for his final year of college eligibility. The decision comes after a difficult, injury-riddled season that limited his impact on the court and disrupted what many expected to be a strong campaign with the Wildcats.

Kriisa, known for his leadership and playmaking ability, joined Kentucky with high expectations after transferring from West Virginia. However, recurring injuries kept him sidelined for much of the 2024–25 season, preventing him from establishing a consistent role in John Calipari’s rotation. Despite the setbacks, Kriisa remained a vocal leader and mentor to younger teammates, earning respect throughout the program.

In a statement released via social media, Kriisa expressed gratitude toward the Kentucky coaching staff and fans. “I want to thank Big Blue Nation for the support during a tough year. I gave it my all, but unfortunately injuries got in the way. I still have more to give, and I’m excited for a new opportunity in my final season.”

While Kriisa has not yet revealed where he plans to transfer, several programs are expected to show interest in the experienced guard, who has played at the Power Five level and in high-pressure environments. His court vision, passing, and energy make him an intriguing prospect for any team looking for a seasoned floor general.

Kriisa will enter the NCAA transfer portal immediately and is expected to make a decision in the coming weeks.
