University of Kentucky add another big name to the board; as they officially make contact with Jaron Pierre
Mark Pope and his coaching staff have been actively pursuing recruits this week, aiming to build a strong transfer class for the upcoming season. While many names have surfaced—some with uncertain levels of interest from the Kentucky Wildcats—the Big Blue Nation (BBN) is eager to secure some commitments. A few prospects appear to be on the verge of committing, and a notable player has just caught the attention of the UK staff.
Tristan Pharis reports that Kentucky has reached out to Jaron Pierre, a guard from Jacksonville State. Pierre, standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 188 pounds, hails from New Orleans and played one season with the Gamecocks. His impressive performance earned him Conference USA Player of the Year honors, as he averaged 21.6 points per game on 42.4% shooting from the field and 38% from beyond the arc. Additionally, he contributed 5.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.
According to Pharis, Pierre has shown definite interest in joining Kentucky, and recruitment efforts may soon intensify. With the Wildcats having missed out on a few guard targets and the situation with Silas Demary Jr. still in the early stages, adding Pierre to the backcourt could be a significant move.
Keep an eye on this developing situation in the coming weeks.
