Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner has expressed concern over the idea of bringing back V10 engines in Formula 1, cautioning against such a move amid the sport’s ongoing push for sustainability and innovation. Horner’s remarks come as nostalgia for the high-revving, naturally aspirated engines of the past remains popular among long-time F1 fans, who fondly remember the signature sound and raw power of the V10 era.
However, Horner emphasized that the future of F1 must align with global efforts to reduce carbon emissions and adopt greener technology. “While the V10 engines were thrilling and iconic, the sport has evolved. We can’t ignore the importance of sustainability,” he said in a recent interview.
