Bortoleto and Hulkenberg Suffer Early Setbacks…read more.

Kick Sauber endured a challenging outing at the Chinese Grand Prix, as first-lap incidents involving drivers Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hulkenberg set the tone for a disappointing race. Both drivers expressed frustration after the early setbacks, which ultimately derailed their hopes of securing points.

Bortoleto’s race was compromised mere moments after the lights went out, as he found himself caught in a collision that forced him to pit early for repairs. Meanwhile, Hulkenberg, who had shown promising pace during qualifying, also fell victim to first-lap chaos, dropping to the back of the grid. Despite valiant efforts, neither driver managed to recover fully, leaving the team without points on a day where potential had seemed high.

Team principal Kick Sauber reflected on the race, acknowledging the difficulties. “It wasn’t our best day,” he admitted. “The first-lap incidents were unfortunate, and while the team worked hard to salvage something, luck wasn’t on our side.”

Both drivers will now turn their focus to the next race, hoping to put the disappointment of China behind them. Bortoleto emphasized the need to learn from the experience, saying, “We’ll analyze what went wrong and come back stronger.”

With the championship race heating up, Kick Sauber remains determined to bounce back in the coming rounds. Fans, though disappointed by the outcome, will be hoping for a stronger showing at the next Grand Prix as the team seeks redemption on the track.
