Lewis Hamilton has opened up about a risky Ferrari experiment that didn’t go as planned, admitting the team has learned a valuable lesson. The seven-time world champion, who is still adapting to life at Ferrari, revealed that the team tried an aggressive approach during the race weekend, only to realize it was a mistake.
Hamilton described the experiment as “mad” and acknowledged that it didn’t yield the expected results. “We tried something different, but it just didn’t work out,” he explained. “At least now we know not to do that again.”
The experiment, which involved adjustments to the car’s setup, was intended to give Hamilton a performance edge. However, it backfired, leading to struggles with grip and handling throughout the race. As a result, Hamilton found himself unable to fight at the front, finishing lower than expected.
