Red Bull Formula 1 hopeful Isack Hadjar has opened up about recent talks with Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko after the 81-year-old made some critical comments about the young driver’s performance. Marko, known for his straightforward and often harsh feedback, had raised concerns about Hadjar’s progress, sparking speculation about his standing within the Red Bull Junior Team.
Hadjar, who currently competes in Formula 2, acknowledged that the feedback was difficult to hear but emphasized its value in pushing him to improve. “Helmut has a direct approach, and that’s part of his personality,” Hadjar said. “We spoke after his comments, and he explained what he expects. I get his perspective, and my focus is on stepping up my game.”
Despite the tough words, Hadjar remains determined to strengthen his position and pursue his dream of reaching Formula 1. His time in Red Bull’s development program has been filled with highs and lows, but the young driver is committed to making progress.
Marko, who has played a key role in guiding drivers like Max Verstappen and Sebastian Vettel to success, is known for demanding results. Hadjar is well aware of the challenges ahead but sees the criticism as fuel to improve.
“I’m using it as motivation,” he said. “Every race is a chance to show what I can do, and I intend to seize those opportunities.”
As the pressure builds, Hadjar’s performance in the upcoming races will be closely watched.
