Lewis Hamilton has come under fire from an F1 legend following his frustrated radio messages during his Ferrari debut at the Australian Grand Prix. The seven-time world champion endured a tough race in Melbourne, struggling with tire strategy and changing weather conditions.

Hamilton, who joined Ferrari from Mercedes this season, was left furious when the team opted to keep him on slick tires as rain briefly hit the track. He voiced his frustrations over the radio, questioning the decision and complaining about the car’s handling. However, a former F1 champion criticized Hamilton’s reaction, suggesting he needs to adapt to Ferrari’s way of operating rather than expressing frustration over the radio.

“He’s used to Mercedes making the perfect calls for him, but Ferrari works differently,” the F1 legend said. “Complaining on the radio won’t help—it’s about working with the team to improve.”

Hamilton ultimately finished outside the top positions, describing the race as “disappointing.” The British driver admitted that the team misjudged the weather but remained optimistic about Ferrari’s potential.

Meanwhile, Ferrari defended their strategy, explaining that they believed the rain would not last long enough to justify a switch to intermediate tires. The miscalculation, however, cost both Hamilton and teammate Charles Leclerc valuable positions.

With the season still in its early stages, Hamilton will be eager to move past the setback and prove his worth in Ferrari red. The next race will be crucial in showing whether he and the team can bounce back.
