Lewis Hamilton has voiced his frustration following a difficult Australian Grand Prix, delivering a harsh assessment of Ferrari’s performance. The seven-time world champion, who joined Ferrari for the 2025 season, struggled throughout the weekend and failed to challenge for the top positions.
Speaking after the race, Hamilton admitted that the team has a lot of work to do. “It wasn’t the result we wanted. The car still isn’t where it needs to be, and we have to find solutions quickly,” he said. Despite high expectations for his debut season with Ferrari, Hamilton has yet to find the dominant form he hoped for.
The British driver also appeared to take a subtle dig at some of his rivals, suggesting that certain teams have gained an advantage under the current regulations. “Some teams are clearly benefiting more than others. We need to analyze where we’re losing out,” he remarked.
Ferrari had hoped Hamilton’s experience would help them challenge Red Bull, but the Australian GP showed they still have ground to cover. His teammate, Charles Leclerc, also struggled, raising concerns about the team’s ability to compete for the title.
Despite the setback, Hamilton remains determined. “It’s a long season, and we’re not giving up. We’ll keep pushing and improving,” he assured fans. As the championship battle unfolds, Ferrari will need to step up if they want to give Hamilton a real shot at an eighth world title.
