Seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton is gearing up for his first season with Scuderia Ferrari, with his debut race set for the Australian Grand Prix. After spending 12 years at Mercedes, his move to Ferrari has sparked excitement and debate among fans and experts.

Hamilton has faced criticism from figures like Eddie Jordan and Jacky Ickx, but he remains unfazed. Rather than letting negativity affect him, the 40-year-old sees it as motivation. Reflecting on his journey as Formula 1’s first and only Black driver, he remains committed to staying true to himself. “I’ve always dealt with criticism, but I’ve learned to turn it into motivation instead of letting it bring me down,” he said.

Driving for Ferrari has been a lifelong dream for Hamilton, inspired by childhood memories of playing video games featuring Michael Schumacher’s iconic red car. While he initially had concerns about racism in Italian football, he believes in fostering inclusivity within his new team and the sport as a whole. “I don’t let outside opinions define me. My focus is always on improving, learning, and inspiring others,” he added.

Despite his departure from Mercedes, Hamilton maintains close friendships with former teammates, even recently enjoying a paintball outing with them. Off the track, he’s also involved in fashion and film production, working on an upcoming Formula 1 movie starring Brad Pitt.

As the season opener approaches, all eyes are on Hamilton to see how he adapts to this new chapter in his legendary career.
